Computers were down while I was there

Exceptionally clean. Staff very helpful. I had scheduled a date online for a Sunday, however I was not told that the facility was closed on the 11th and 12th of June. I went to the facility on 11 June 3 times.

My 6th storage unit in 3 years. And easily the best!!

Pricing for a storage unit seems expensive pretty much anywhere. However, I learned that this place is a better value than basically everywhere else. I may have found one or two places that were slightly less expensive. However, they were much older and dirtier and not heated. So considering all those things, it's the best option around!!

They stopped caring

Since Dec 2022, the management has stopped caring about the facility. Light above entry door has been out since Nov. Halls are dirty, dusty. Front desk cust svc has also gone down hill.

Great storage site...No a single complaint

Needing a storage facility in the 98335 area, I found the 12th Street Storage facility in Tacoma on the internet. Boy, am I happy I found it. It's got excellent freeway access, is clean, and the security is outstanding. Five...or even TEN...stars for 12th Street Storage!

Clean, Simple, and Secure

One of my favorite thing about this facility is that even the main office is behind the gate. I like this because I felt that my car full of items was secure while taking the tour and filling out my paperwork. Also, this ensures that the only people who can catch a glimpse of the security footage are the people who are actually interested in the units and enables the clerk to keep track of anything shady. I had made an online reservation for a 5'x7' unit that would cost $85/month but was surprised when I got told that I would be paying $10 less. The lease signing process was extremely simple and fast. Oh, and to top it off, the clerk is quite friendly as well.

12th Street Self Storage

The storage unit is clean, locked, heated. It’s all in one building so there’s no one lurking around the next corner. The only downfall I see is that the hallways are very narrow. They have carts (VERY HELPFUL!) available to use but when you actually get to the point where you have to turn down the hallway toward your unit, it’s difficult as the cart is almost too long for the narrowness of the hallway.

We called on Sunday of Labor Day weekend, and we were able to secure a 10' x 20' unit that we were able to move stuff into first thing Tuesday morning (closed for Labor Day.) Facilities are clean, well-lit, provide carts for moving, elevators. Conveniently located just off Hwy 16.

The young lady who helped us did a great job. The facility is very convenient. They have carts to load your property to take it to your storage unit. They have elevators that are quick and convenient. Motion lights come on as you walk down the hallways or open your unit. Very nice facility!

Easy move-in

I got tired of annual increases at the last storage place that I rented for years. I found 12th Street Storage on-line and booked a space weeks before arriving. I moved out of the previous space and into the new space in a matter of hours. The young employee was very helpful and knowledgeable. The pre-move in incentive was a plus as well

Sign-up was quick, customer service was friendly and knowledgeable and I was in and out in a matter of minutes. To improve the experience, I would suggest having the monthly rent paid in an online or mail-in method instead of at the facility on the 1st of the month, this seems inconvenient in this day and age, that is why I did not go with 5 Stars for "Overall Rating".
