The Garden State Parkway (GSP), U.S. Route 22, and Interstate 78 highways all converge near this Hillside Public Storage facility. It is just outside of Newark, on Glenwood Avenue near Sweetland Avenue.
The location boasts roughly 900 cheap storage units, including outdoor storage options for drive-up loading and unloading. Like all locations, there is free parking, keypad password access to storage areas seven days a week and month-to-month leases. And a store at the location sells boxes, locks, tape and other moving and packing supplies.
There are a variety storage unit sizes, from a smaller 5x5 foot for storing seasonal gear for locals in search of outdoor fun at nearby Conant Park, bound by the meandering Elizabeth River and the residential tree-lined Conant Street. Or drop off picnic gear, seasonal decorations or old furniture that the kids have grown out of in a larger 5x10 foot unit.
Aptly named for its surrounding hills, suburban Hillside township is as rich in history as it is in its sense of community. Nestled less than two miles South of this storage facility on Conant Street, the Eaton Store Museum and Woodruff House is open for tours led by the Hillside Historical Society.
Children's writer Edward Stratemeyer, author of beloved fictional book series such as The Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, and Bobbsey Twins is laid to rest in Hillside in a site listed on the National Register of Historic Places. For fellow book lovers, a 5x10 foot location could be an ideal size for storing boxes of old books that have outgrown the home library, including perhaps that tattered copy of iThe Secret of the Old Clock/i from the Nancy Drew series.

Every time I visited for the past couple of years. The staff was professional and courteous. On 4/29/17 Staff member Kareem was very knowledgeable about the units and polite and respectful. On the next day 4/30/17 Staff member Joe when above and beyond his job.By helping others as well including me.When my stuff fell over. Joe came over to help and assist me. By picking up what fell over.Also help me with my bag that was left on the step.You guys do a excellent job as a team.I would like to recommend if you are in need of storage space.Visit Hillside, NJ public storage.The units are kept clean and clear....

She first proceed asking if I called and reserved a unit and I said yes providing her with my name and then asked a series of questions to fit me with the correct unit I needed.
