devastated by mice infestation
Do NOT store your things at Security Self Storage in Fitchburg. We lost half of our belongings to a mice infestation. So much of our clothes, kidsâ toys, kitchen stuff, couch, and more was destroyed by tons of poop and them chewing everything up. It was devastating. We called the company right away, and had to wait and wait to get a call back. When my husband finally physically went to them to show them photos, we were told they do not have insurance to cover this, and we were not reimbursed for the items we lost. We were moving to a different house, and had used this storage for 4 months. All the units are connected on the inside and we think thatâs how the rodents got in. Spare yourself!

Upmost Customer Service
I worked with Jeffrey who was just wonderful. I not only came in 10 minutes to close, as I was running behind, but upon speaking with him, I realized I reserved the wrong type of unit. Thankfully, he was able to move some things around and was able to get me the one I needed. I pulled up with a big uhaul and had accidentally reserved a 5â5â space! Needless to say, he made it work and all at last minute. Great customer service, would recommend.

The lady in the office was very nice and fast with the paperwork. I feel like the price is good compared to anywhere close to madison. But in general I think the price for a starage unit anywhere is high.

Moved in when it was -10 degrees and the sow was shove;ed and still had easy access.
So far, so good. Paperwork went quickly and although there was a foot of snow on the ground and sub-zero temps our unit was very accessible.

the personal was very helpful and even let me store the moving truck on their lot until the following day when I was able to get it unloaded. Also he even checked for a lock to lock up the truck over night he made sure that the lock that I purchased to make sure that it worked. Turns out that the first lock did not work he gave me another lock for the price of the first one. Now that is costumer service.

Great Service Once I Was Able to Get a Unit
I had originally reserved a unit through this site but they called later to say they had run out of units (so it wasn't actually a reservation). But I checked back in when I needed the unit and one had opened up. The customer service is great (he grabbed some bottles of water for us while we were unloading everything) and it is easy to get in an out of. I would definitely recommend it.

Great Value & Service!
Very good customer service! She allowed us to view 2 different sizes of units before we signed to make sure that we got the size we needed. The signing process went very quickly, which was nice because we had other errands to run. The access to the units isn't complicated but seems secure. The value for the size and facility is a good deal!
