So good so far.
Everything is just about perfect disciple one thing. I have to admit that the only thing that I'm not happy with is the time that the doors are locked. 9:00 p.m. closing does help make sure I have an hour to get to schnucks or Walmart or anything before they close, but sometimes it is really really hard to make sure I got everything put up in my locker like it needs to be. I probably need to talk to you guys about getting a bigger locker. I got myself in a situation that causes a lot of stress and work to be done that should'nt have to be done all the time. Moving things every time takes up time that I don't have. But I am grateful to know my stuff is safe and secure.

Unsafe - motorcycle was stolen
We have been renting two storage units and two vehicle spots from Storage of America on Gustine for several months.
From the very beginning, we have noticed many red flags including people milling around inside the facility. Working on cars inside their units. people selling goods out of their units. and more.
Last week my motorcycle was stolen from one of the "secure" vehicle parking spots. These spots are supposedly on video surveillance, but they have been unwilling to pull the video so far which makes me question if the video is actually working, or if they have some knowledge of the crime.
It has been over a week and they are being unresponsive.
I am now questioning the safety of the belongings in our other units.
I would NOT recommend this facility.
It is unsafe and your property is at risk.

Unit broken into first month-possibly people living in storage units
I cannot give it zero stars or i would.
unit was broken into in less than a month of having it- my husband has been trying to get a refund for 2 days because we prepaid a year- andare filing a police report at the facility right now.
I have seen people walking in and out with just backpacks on which leads me to think they are living in there.

Great onsite experience
Everything about this process was smooth. I appreciate the great customer service by Tony (I believe is his name). In my opinion, he went above and beyond in making sure I was fully taken care of. He noticed an error made online, he fixed it immediately. He also assisted me to my unit after all the paperwork was completed. The exceptional service in renting a storage unit was unexpected but greatly appreciated!

Great experience as they were most helpful in our move.
Excellent experience - staff was most helpful and right there to answer any questions we had. Space was clean and ready for us with personal attention to having invoices and info already located in each storage unit. Handling locks was made easy as they were demonstrated by the staff who make sure we understood and knew how to operate on our own for future visits. Although there was a brochure explaining - the staff made an effort to be there if we have questions. First class experience.

I've rented a 5x10 locker and a 20'covered outdoor parking spot at the Gustine location since SOA opened here 2 years ago. The facility is conveniently located, staffed daily, clean, secure, and well maintained but these are base requirements expected from any such facility. What you need to consider when looking for long term storage is the annual rate increase of 10 to 15 percent. I have twice now received a standard form letter giving 30 day notice of pending increase of my monthly rate. While this is fairly typical across the industry it's the downside of the month to month rental platform. While the rates are competitive you should expect a bump at least once every year so factor that into any decision.

Very convenient and safe feeling
I had an excellent experience getting started! I decided on a whim to get a small unit and kept seeing the commercial for the Gustine location which is really close to where I live. I signed up online to move in the next day and got a call the next morning before I could get a chance to call them. Took care of everything over phone and email very quickly and got to take some stuff I couldn’t stand to sit around with during stay at home orders anymore within 24 hrs. It’s easy to get in and out and you can drive up close to what looks like pretty much all the units to unload. You can even buy a lock from them to have waiting for you when you arrive, super helpful!

Great location for my camper
I am pleased with the location. I went to location on move-in day without my camper to park. I was told to return the next day with the camper and I would be checked in. I returned and I waited for awhile, but did not see attendant. I left the camper with a note and am waiting for a phone call or email that everything is ok. I hope an attendant will be in the office regularly in the future.
