First Time Renting
For my first time renting with a storage facility, this was the cheapest one out of the 6 I looked at in my area for the size I desired. Prices for a first floor with drive-up access are high, but this facility was affordable. My unit is not far from the exit, so thatâs great as well. The phones are answered promptly, and their communication is amazing. They respond to voicemails quickly.

Not terrible, but hereâs my issues:
1. Getting a hold of someone at the office, whether in person or on the phone is damn near impossible. When I call, no one seems to be there and same when we go in person. Makes resolving issues difficult, especially since there seems to be so many and weâve had the unit less than a week.
2. Issues with the gate not working. It seems fine going in, but not coming out (youâd think itâd be the opposite). Twice now, weâve had to get OUT of our car, walk to a side door on the gate, go back to the front entry panel, enter our code so the gate will open, run back to get in our car and drive out of the gate. Annoying.
4. Different price quotes. When we got the place we decided to go with a bigger unit than we intended; naturally itâs going to cost more, no big deal. My issue is that the monthly price listed online (and sent to my email after reserving the unit) said $68/month, but they told me in person for some âunknownâ reason the system wasnât going to let them book that price so instead it would be $80/month. Not toooo much of a price difference, but yet again, ANOTHER annoyance.
3. Lock issue. We werenât told what type of lock we had to buy for our unit. We were told we could either buy a lock from them for $20 or bring our own. That was it. So naturally we brought our own padlock. Nice, sturdy padlock. It wasnât until a couple days later were we called and told âthat lock doesnât meet our requirements, you need to change it within 24 hrs.â If thereâs some standard requirement, we should have been told that from the beginning. Before we went and spent $10 on a lock that we canât use, just to have to turn around and spend another $20 on one that âmeets their standards.â
Overall, I wouldnât recommend. You can find storage places with less annoyances for the same price (or better). If we hadnât moved our stuff in Iâd pick another place. Iâm glad we only need it for a few months.

NO Hassles For Me
I've rented space from Public Storage in the past and have always been treated fairly by management. The hours work for me but others would like to see expanded access hours at the Roseville Rd. location, which would be nice even for me. This facility had a problem when a customer ran over the outgoing gate control several weeks ago and it is inconvenient having to go outside the drive in gate to access the gate control to get let out. The gate controller is being repaired as of this posting but the work is going slow.

The property # of the Public Storage we used was 20214 in North Highlands, CA. Heidi was very knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. She made the whole process quick and easy.

Heidi and mckayla were awesome
Heidi and mckayla were awesome. Fast and easy service was done right and well. Keith from customer service also had me out of McDonalds and in public storage before they closed. And I was able to move everything in before paperwork was done. Good team work and I highly recommend this trip of awesomeness!!!! Thanks everyone.

Great Customer Service
Great Customer Service. Just not happy with the dust and the early closing of the gate at 6pm and 5pm. 10pm closing would be ideal.

I needed to change my storage and...
I needed to change my storage and looked online to find good rates close to me. I called one site and the unit size I wanted was no longer available and the person there checked in the system for my size unit at other locations near me and found one and helped me sign up on line for it! That is great customer service. I apologize, I do not remember her name. I am very happy so far. By the way, the unit was clean and looked in good repair.

I had a good experience.BUT! YOU SHOULD DISCLOSE WHEN YOU CALL ABOUT PRICES THAT A PERSON HAS TO SPEND 19.99 ON YOUR LOCK.AND YOU MUST HAVE INSURANCE WHICH WILL BE MOST LIKELY YOUR INSURANCE BECAUSE YOUR BLIND SIDED WITH THE FACT YOU MUST HAVE INSURANCE.AND THAT COST ANOTHER $11.00-$15.00.

I had the best experience with public...
I had the best experience with public storage I went to one and didn't get what I was looking for but the emplyee did not stop there she went out of her way to check everything possible until she was able to find me a storage that had what I needed and wanted and at a great deal. I am very happy with the service I was provided. Thanks Jackie from public storage you are the best.

Somewhat expensive, but all the storage facilities are in the same price range. Moving supplies are extremely expensive, but the associates are eager to help and answer any questions you may have.

Heidi is such a doll, so sweet! Tremendously helpful as well. She saved my son and I a lot of money by renting us a second unit on month to month, after I told her was going to rent somewhere else. I recommend that everyone choose this location. Amen

Great facility conveniently located and well staffed. I had my doubt's about getting a storage since the person I had talked to off site scheduled my appointment after hours. Seeing the postition I was in the manager offered to stay late the following day to ensure I got my unit. Great customer service , there's a lot to be said about someone willing to go above and beyond what they are required to do in order to accommodate a customers needs.

I knew what I wanted, and she didnt waste time with the details I didnt need to know. I appreciated that because I was short on time. Accommodating. Helpful. And went beyond, when I left something in the office inadvertently, and she walked it out to me when I was loading up the unit later that day. p.s. the drive up units. kick. aZZ. especially the small units being drive up. hands down. easier. The $24 admin fee is annoyingly too hidden in the "signup" online. I always get soured after arriving at the office and seeing surprise fees, let alone this large.

Pleasant helpful staff
Better experience with this location than I have had in the past with othe locations. Staff is friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make sure your happy and have what you need. Managing staff is awesome!!!
