Prices can't be beat.Staff friendly and helpful. But you get what you pay for. Facility is old, with only one freight elevator requiring staff to operate, parking is very limited, But I do not plan on visiting my stored items often, so the price clearly outweighs the price.

I like the affordable range of storage rates. Great for those that are watching their budget. Nice clean place and friendly people. Sufficient unloading area. No contract commitment required. One thing that I wish you have is a lift from the vehicle to the dolly for those of us who have no helpers to unload big bulky items. Basically, you are on your own when it comes to unloading from your vehicle. However, they do provide a lift to the upper level storage. The policy to which employees are not responsible or allowed to touch any belonging due to liability was explained to me prior to signing a monthly rental. However, the manager and employee showed willingness to provide assistance when needed. Great experience so far. I'd recommend it to people.

Great hours and friendly staff

We were planning on shopping around for a storage unit but I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility, the hours the storage is accessible,and I didn't feel like I was being pressured into a sale by the woman helping us. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but overall pretty average price for the size unit we got.

This storage facility doesbt have any fancy bells or whistles but the employes are always very friendly and helpful. The price is the lowest in town. The one con for me is the hours of availablility. I have three children and a busy husband it would be nice to have more evening access so I can come kid free.

Convenient & friendly

This storage space is in a great location and is easily accessible from Queen St. Moving my stuff in was a breeze, the truck came directly to my place and got my stuff (though due to 'company policy' I had to take the bus and meet my stuff there). I am satisfied with the move-in process, but not looking forward to moving out, as apparently renters cannot utilize moving trucks to vacate (even if you pay a fee).

Pricing was unbeatable, and the customer service was nice, but it isn't really clean, not that secure.

The first place that they originally had in store for me was so bad, that even they were surprised. It was really dirty, door wasn't opening an closing properly and it seriously looked like someone was living in the storage thing on top of mine. There were weird posters hung in the upper storage part (the door was left open) and It looked like a pretty rough place. The storage is basically like a large cabinet with a wooden door. I wish it was made out of metal so it would be more secure. However, they moved me to a better place that was cleaner and kept the same pricing. You just have to walk a little to get to it. The customer service was good, and they were friendly. They will help you and they have carts to load your stuff on so you won't have to carry all of it. Paper work was smooth. I did consider looking somewhere else after I saw it, but the pricing was unbeatable and my stuff is only going to sit there so.

Honolulu AAmerican storage is an affordable with incredible customer services

The place is not the best or fanciest self storage with good air-conditioning. But I got what I need in terms of space and it is most affordable in town. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They provided a free truck with a driver on my moving day. The driver was very nice and even refused to accept a tip. I think they are sincerely trying to help my moving. The whole process of my moving was very smooth with them. I really appreciate it. I hope my staying there would go well until I move out. Thanks a lot!

I received a confirmation about the pricing and conditions via emailand was leaving abroad the next day. The pricing i received included the insurance and the person who attended me said that it didn't and charged be extra for the insurance. This was not right and you should review what has been done. I had to accept because I had no other option since I was traveling on the following day.

Cheap for short term and long term storage

The facility does what it should. Get you in fast, and store your things in a secure place. We needed short term storage after moving to Hawaii and waiting on our lease on our new home so we used A-American. They were professional and provided us with what we needed.

From Los Angeles & needed short term storage for luggage. Waikiki hotel area storage services were super expensive. Airport doesnt have storage. A-American kills the competition. Cheap pricing; longer hours (7am); great service & quick paperwork.

I think it was very good that they have parking lot so we can park our car and unload/load our stuffs. People were very much willing to help out with their best and they were very friendly. However, in terms of the facility itself, I am not sure if it is worth paying almost 100 or even more to rent the place. The door is basically made out of something that you can easily break through.

Bait and Switch

Two problems. 1] The driver called at the appointment time and said we had to wait another hour for him. When he arrived the truck was already half full with someone else's belongings. When they tell you the size of the truck you think that's the amount of room you'll have. 2] After they had our stuff in the truck at their facility, they charged us $88 monthly instead of the online deal we had for $54. Their reason was that our belongings weighed too much for the unit sparefoot gave us. Sparefoot doesn't ask weight or I would've entered it because I knew the weight from having just shipped the boxes in a container ship. Why can't their storage take being filled with boxes of clothes? Why is that our problem, but I guess it is now. So they didn't honor the appointment time or the contract price.
