Smooth moving
After my other storage facility put the rental up almost $100 I decided to move out of there and fast. Found this place, a 10x10 at a reasonable price, manager on duty was super helpful and friendly so I booked it and in three days I moved in! So far so good and oh by the way itâs climate controlled which is super handy so one doesnât freeze in the winter or boil in the summer whenever they need to go to their unit â¦

Easy reservation online.
Online reservation was fairly simple. Gate code was sent by text, and Once logged into app, that was helpful.
Front desk was very helpful.
Downside is only 2 elevators on same side of building, with separate keypads. Storage unit on opposite side of building from elevator, but not too much trouble.
Nice location. 3 floors, plenty of parking.

Awesome Place!
Rented a unit this weekend from Public Storage. Octavia was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She was kind, patient and made sure I had everything I needed. The facility was clean and well maintained as well. I would absolutely recommend this location to others!

I do think having only 2 elevators does ...
I do think having only 2 elevators does pose an issue when someone may be in a bit of a hurry or even just in general - as well as only 2 flatbeds for as many units as there are in that location.

I used Public Storage for about 9 months, and overall had a great experience. If you are in need of storage from this location make sure you ask for Michelle when renting a unit. Michelle is super awesome, and very helpful. She went out of her way to make the experience of having our stuff in storage a little less stressful. Was always willing to make accommodations if I needed any. I would rate her the 5 stars. Thank you for all your help Michelle, and best of wishes to you.

The customer service here is above and beyond. We had the pleasure of having Michelle help us. She asked us what we planned to store and she helped us make the most informed decision possible. Renting was a breeze and Michelle was really great with explaining all of the costs. As we were in the middle of moving our stuff we noticed that we may need a slightly larger unit and Michelle was more than willing to help us find the most cost effective decision. We really appreciate Michelle and her excellent customer service. Definitely will recommend others here as log as Michelle works there.

This is a pretty good storage facility although here are my gripes: the elevator doesn't wait long enough, it arrives, you have to punch in your code and then you get your cart to wheel it into the elevator and the doors start to close - they need to re-program that to allow about 15 more seconds. The storage units themselves have no interior lighting, just that from the hallway, so buy some battery operated LED lanterns or similar if you're going to get a deep storage space.

I think the P.M. Manager Michelle is a fantastic manager. I've had my large unit there for several years and she has my vote for the best manager. She is so friendly and helpful. She will go out of her way to help solve any issue you may have. She will make sure she lets you know when she will leave so you aren't left waiting, and always acknowledges you when she is with another customer to tell you that she will be right with you. She is always smiling with her happy personality. She makes it a pleasure doing business at the 2497 Grove way, Castro Valley Storage. Thanks Michelle!

Great service
First off I was going to go to self storage in San leandro, but since my mother whom lives in Sacramento, Ca has rented at Public Storage before and has said nothing but good things about the place I decide to rent a space there. The Public Storage in Casto Valley I visited had great customer service I was able to get in and out without no problem. I also notice how well trained the manager is. She was able to help me and help two other people at one time. It's very appreciative because not even at a grocery store I recieve the type of courtesy I was given. Michelle H. thoroughly explain ever document I was signing and make sure I was satisfied with the space I am renting. Thanks Public Storage!!
