I found their rates here pretty good compared to others, but expect the rate will start to go up rapidly after the introductory offer. Other costs were not shared with me in advance: I was told by phone I could use my own padlock, but at the facility I learned this applied only to some units; I had to buy a special lock/key for $20.00. Also, I wasn't told that insurance at the rate of $15 per month was required unless I had my own household insurance that covered it. Luckily, my existing insurance plan covers storage; others might not be so lucky. And there is the now-expected, in corporate America, small print about having absolutely no legal recourse of any kind in any matter for any reason, so you are entirely at your own risk regarding anything that could happen. SO I don't exactly feel I'm in great hands, but it serves my needs for the short term storage I need. Customer service at the facility was friendly and competent; easy to get in and out, and everything is clean and well cared-for.

One difficulty I had was that their are...

One difficulty I had was that their are no ramps for the dollys, You literally have to heft them over a curb to get to the front door. It's amazing to me that a storage place would not have ramps. It was not easy for me to use the dolly as a result. I'm not that strong and had to struggle.

Amazing customer service

Public storage in Bothell is by far the best storage facility I've ever used. It's indoor, feels secure and Debbie, who works there is AMAZING and so helpful. Recently I received an email and letter that we had to move out of our unit do to a renovation. I was literally having nightmares thinking my belongings were not going to be safe having to move them. I was also dreading having to move a packed 10x30 storage unit. Over the weekend I took a visit to Public storage and spoke with Debbie about the letter and moving. Come to find out we don't have to move facilities just units. I ended up have to rent two separate units on two different floors but I guess as long as I don't have to pack it in a truck and to another facility then I'm okay with that. Debbie, you have amazing customer service and I appreciate your kindness. Jaime H

Great Set-Up

I had the privilege of mostly interacting with Debbie who was very flexible with scheduling when I would come in. She answered all my questions and offered information about the storage setup, made recommendations and also was very sensitive to my needs. She made it very easy for me. Overall the place is clean and I really like the security system they have in place. My only reservation is that it's quite expensive when you multiply the monthly cost over time. But, sometimes, you get what you pay for. I only rated it 4 stars for this reason and also because I have just started moving my things in and don't know longer term what my impression is.

The on site manager was knowledgeable and helpful and asked me about my needs regarding storage in order to match me with the right space. The facility was very clean, well secured, and easily accessible with moving carts available to use. Prices are reasonable and the contracts understandable with all questions quickly answered. Boxes and other moving supplies were available on site and priced competitively. All in all a great facility.

It was clear from the first time I spoke to the staff here that customer service is a top priority. The staff were friendly, professional, helpful and interested in making this aspect of my move as smooth and hassle-free as possible. They provided all information and details needed to access my the storage facility and my storage unit and didn't leave anything out. The facilities are clean, well-lit, and easy to navigate. While I often encounter less than adequate customer service in the greater Seattle area, the staff here are quite the exception and my experience was as positive as I could imagine.

I have used Public Storage off and on again for over 4 years. Sometimes they have the lowest prices and sometimes they don't. They don't allow current customera to take advantage of thier move in deals even if you are moving from one area to another but they provide a very basic service and they are secure. Hard to go wrong with that. Unfortunately they are hit and miss on the customer service. I recently moved from one area to another. I had delayed for a while since I didnt access my storage that often and it was only a 20 mile difference. They sent me an invoice that had my rate going up $12 so I looked around at closer storage and it was $40 cheaper at the new unit for the same size storage with added climate control. Great move! They did not provide a refund on my old pre paid unit but they did prorate the move in unit since I moved in 18 days into the month. The old unit I had a very hard time getting ahold of the property manager on the few occasions when I did stop by. He was almost never in the office or busy with other customers. Had to get the outside door code every time simple because they had an extra level of security that I couldn't remember when I didn't use it but every two months. My key was on me and my gate code was available through my online account. The extra door code was only available from the property manager. I'm still satisfied with the service. Got what I wanted out of it despite a few inconveniences.
