Storage for my woodworking equipment

i wish that there was truth in advertising. A 5 x 15 storage space is useless if it has a 3 ' door. My equipment wouldn't fit in the advertised space so i had to upgrade to a 10x20. Doubled the cost and more but at least the location was good and access was easy.

The worker was very kind and helpful in answering all my questions & getting me set up with my unit. The 5x5 appeared to be more like 4x4 but I didn't measure. Due to size, I opted for a larger unit which resulted in a higher cost than I had planned. I also opted for an outdoor unit which is effected by the elements causing the latch to rust and often stick making it difficult to open. I would suggest that they start replacing these before they rust shut & need to be cut open. I also found it uncomfortable that the gate is so slow it allows entry without a code by followers. I'm not sure that can be fixed- just unfortunate. Overall the facilities were clean, well lit at night, tons of security cameras, & very friendly staff.

Great customer service!

I pulled up and used the computer to get my reserved space. I was given a passcode for the gate and a storage locker number. I couldn't get into the gate, but the gentleman there helped me out and took me down to my garage. Unfortunately, the garage I was given had a lock on it. I was offered 2 other options and even upgraded the size of the garage due to the obstacles. The guy onsite was very helpful and took care of me.

I quit looking at my short list when I stopped at Global.

The need for storage came up suddenly. We need to move a parent in with us for health reasons. This meant vacate her apartment and make room for some her furnishings, store the rest and store some of ours. I went on line, looked at a dozens of possibilities, read many reviews, did a spreadsheet and created a short list to visit on a Friday. I was pleasantly surprised at the welcome and professionalism of the first four I visited. All of them had the “online price and deal” that was better than the “walk-in price” so that I was going to complete my list and make the reservation online. Then I visited Global and I did not have an “online price” on the spreadsheet but the price on the website was competitive with the other “online” prices without the need to go online to sign up. Global also offered “climate controlled” for only $5 more that was still less than others on my short list. Jim gave us the tour of the units, gave us all the specials that were offered online, explained the use of the free move in truck and signed us up. I now had immediate access to the best location of the units for us and I was done. It became a "no-brainer". I will now visit my space today to start storing when I thought I would have to wait until at least next week to get started. Time is important because she needs extra care that we feel we need to control plus the care is costing a couple $1,000 on top of $3,000 rent. So far we are delighted with everything about Global.

The best storage facility I've seen. The grounds are immaculate. In a good location with easy access to storage units. Could use some type of lighting inside each one, but the outside lighting is great. Security is even improved with the addition of alligators in the moat

I investigated Global Storage because of there reasonable prices (compared to other local storage companies). I was surprised to find out how large their facility is, and the variety of unit choices. The indoor unit we chose is immaculate and very well maintained. The final decision point is that the gated facility is available 24 hours a day. Not the office, of course, but being able to stop by my unit at my convenience is great, and I've been shocked that other storage facilities have not followed suit. Great unit, good price. Highly recommended.

I have been using this storage facility for about four years. Overall I am very pleased with operation. However, last year when I received another price increase I asked about it and I was told it was because new units were being constructed. I did not feel this was a good taeson for increasing the price. Also the snow removal has been a problem until this year.

Very disappointed in treatment when I told you you were charging our credit card for another customer. To be fair, you called to apologize when you realized I was right, but only after we had to cancel our credit card, get another one issued, and now need to remember monthly to call to make payment. We have asked you to trim the tree by our motorhome to avoid scratches, and you would not do so. I had to do it. When we were gone one year during a snow storm, you piled the snow on our spot. We don't mind shoveling our spot, but we had no way of removing over six feet of packed-in snow. Because of these reasons, but mostly due to the unfair yearly increase, we are researching other facilities

Great location

This is an ideal location for me, just 7 minutes from home. It is a clean facility. However, I have had a few frustrating experiences and things I've noticed: The entrance gate freezing up/not working several times; Pulling up and seeing that the gate is wide open and not secured; A block of ice at the doorway into my storage building; The "stuffing" in the storage unit ceiling starting to pop out; and there was a few times in working out paperwork with your front office. The manager is very nice, however, working out the contract and involving the company I work for was a difficult concept to work through. I truly appreciate the automatic lights that go on in the storage building as I walk in!

I was able to complete the paperwork for my storage unit in under 10 minutes. The rental agent, Roman Morales, was friendly and made good eye contact. He explained the contract terms and pointed out some important details. The pricing was fair and the incentive of one free month was great. The security code given to me was easy to remember. My unit did have a small hole in the ceiling. I returned to the office and showed Roman a picture of the damage. He assured me he was aware of it and that I would not be charged for the damage on my move-out.
