As the world changes we’re challenged to find new uses for tools and materials that are no longer needed. This challenge tends to appeal to the problem solvers and creative minds of the world and can sometimes lead to a really impressive finished product.
For this project we took a look at how innovative thinkers around the world are using some of the 300 million shipping containers that currently sit empty and unused. While most people think of obvious solutions like recycling the raw materials, a few architects have used these storage containers to construct modern buildings.
