Last week we were in Colorado Springs at the Broadmoor Resort for the Self Storage Association Spring Conference. We hope everyone enjoyed some of the sessions presented and were able to leave with some valuable information. If you had an exceptional experience at any of the breakout sessions or you found a speaker to be particularly intriguing we’d love to hear some of your thoughts. Although the conference was smaller than most years we hope you were able to take advantage of the networking events and use the small intimate setting to your advantage.
We are eagerly anticipating the next Self Storage Association Conference in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace; please note the date change from September 7, 2010 – September 11, 2010 to September 1, 2010 – September 3, 2010. The conference will focus on the current industry, how small operators can market their storage facilities and legislation that may affect the industry. Tom Ridge, Former Secretary of Homeland Security, is scheduled to speak about “The Net Gain of Security in a Risk-Based World.” Christopher Thornberg is the co-founder of Beacon Economics and was recently name an advisor to the state Controller. Thornberg was also one of the first to predict the real estate bubble so we’re very interested in his predictions of economic status of the storage industry.
We unveiled a sneak peak of our new booth with G5 Search Marketing last week during the conference; look out for more updates during the convention in Las Vegas. A big thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth we enjoyed meeting you and look forward to conversing with you further. Also let us know if there is anything we can help you with.
