Customer Service Went Down the Drain
This was my third time renting from A-American on Vandeventer. First two times: almost no problems whatsoever (besides business operating hours). The third time I rent, I do so for a week's-long stay and plan to have the unit for no longer than a month. Long story short, details spared, miscommunication (or a lack of communication, for that matter) on their part caused me to "blindsidedly" be forced to pay for another month of rent on my unit. The other option they gave me: pay for my unit, but vacate whenever you want.
This was somewhat understandable due to "policy," but what really pushed me to write a review like this was the lack of customer service. After explaining my situation the clerk on duty - (after making me stand outside for 7 minutes while he took care of another customer who arrived after I had) - told me there was nothing he could do except hand me over his manager's number. If I waited until the next day to call the manager I'd be slapped with a late fee.
Congratulations, A-American Storage. You're $50 more profitable, the proud owner of another not-so-good review, and a business with one less customer (who'll be passing the word on to others).
