Massive price increases with every new lease
Their business model is to tempt you with a low price and keep you on three month leases that they raise by any increasing amount with each renewal. You are given no notice and the increases can be by any amount. Each comes with a lease you never see or sign full of new hidden fees, most recently a late payment fee of 25%. Such harsh penalties encourage you to use autopay, making you less likely to notice massive price hikes. All emails are ignored and the office will tell you to move to another identical unit to get back to a fair rate. I was told that over 100 people moved within the building at the start of this year, a huge waste of time with no benefit to anyone, just to get around predatory price hikes. Most people keep their storage units longer than they expect. An honest one year lease with a reputable facility will cost you far less than this predatory business model.
My rent has been hiked $40 in three months and $25 three months before that. It started at $129 and is now $243 less than two years later. The same unit in the building is currently listed for rent at $112.

Easy and Inexpensive
I moved one bedroom into a 5x8x10 locker which could have easily fit double my stuff. The promotional truck deal - a driver & truck free for 2 hours - made the cost of moving even easier to afford.

Clean and well-staffed
It was easy to unload my stuff and bring it to my 5x10 storage locker. The rates are reasonable and there is a large dock for loading/unloading your van or truck. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Excellent facility. Employee Arnold is the best!
I was extremely impressed with the facility and it's employees. Arnold was courteous and concise while being proactive with my needs. I couldn't have asked for better service or a more competitive price from any other storage facility in the area and believe me when I say I thoroughly checked all the ajacent facilities.

The storage place is super big. And it’s kind of close to my home. The costumer service is really nice. However, the inside of the storage I rent has no light. I cannot check the cleanliness but overall the place is good.

Had to store some pieces of furniture for two months. Found this location near my house in Williamsburg, first month came free, so that's good. The only thing they could use is a bigger freight elevator. Other than that great experience

This was the easiest and least stressful moving experience I've ever had
Moving in and out of New York City / Brooklyn is stressful, but it doesn't have to be. The folks at Storage Mart were incredibly helpful and attentive and got me in and out quickly. This is an excellent, well kept, centrally located place to store your things, I would recommend this place to anybody moving in, out, or around the city.

The staff was incredibly friendly, they let me get started on moving my things in before they made me start to sign the paperwork, which was very considerate. My storage locker had to be changed because of a mix up, but they moved me to a larger unit at the same price, and the unit they moved me to was closer to the entrance and on the first floor. The guy at the desk recommended a good, well priced lock, and brought me over a few hand carts as soon as they freed up. They made the move really easy.

I moved in a day late because my moving company didn't show up, and Deedee gave me the name of the moving company they recommend and give free truck rental for two hours as a part of the storage facility. I wish I knew about that sooner, it would've save me $300 and a lot of hassle. Either way, it was great to have the recommendation from the staff. The next day my movers arrived late so we were pretty close to going over the hours. They said it wasn't a big deal and didn't want to add to my frustrating moving experience. The movers hustled and we made it out just in time so thy didn't have to stay late. They made the experience so muh better. I was a little surprised that there was an additional ~$10 fee on top of what Sparefoot said it would cost. It was already a little above my budget but once I was there it felt like I didn't have much of a choice. Sparefoot should be aware of this fee.

easy AND affordable!
Sparefoot helped me find the most affordable, perfect storage situation for the measly one month of storage I needed. I did not want to spend a lot nor deal with paying an arm and a leg for two movers in one month. Storage Mart has an excellent relationship with Action Movers, who were also quick and affordable. My entire move-in and move-out was completely seamless and I'm grateful for having absolutely no horror stories!!!
